Petrol motorcycles have a century of R&D behind them, but F77 SuperStreet shows electric bikes are getting there

- VIKRAM CHAUDHARY

ON A RACETRACK, from 0-60 km/h, few petrol motorcycles can catch up with it.

On our streets, in a game of swag, few petrol motorcycles can match up with it.

It's a new electric bike called the F77 SuperStreet - which I rode on a racetrack, as well as streets.

What's the SuperStreet?

It's the third model from Ultraviolette - after the F77, and the F77 Mach 2. There are two variants: SuperStreet (7.1 kWh battery pack and claimed range of 211 km).

SuperStreet Recon (10.3 kWh battery and range of 323 km).

How's it different?

Unlike the Mach 2 which has a body-forward riding position, the SuperStreet has an upright riding angle (handlebars are set higher).

It's the first electric bike that can be charged even at electric car charging stations, thanks to an adaptor called the UVLink (priced ₹2,999).

How's the design?
