THE BOARD OF IT major Wipro approved the proposed share buyback of up to ₹15,000 crore, offering nearly 19% premium over Thursday's closing price.
The buyback, through the tender offer route, is the company's largest and its first since 2023, when it bought back nearly 270 million shares for ₹12,000 crore.
