The cut-off rate for the transaction was 5.49%, with the central bank accepting the entire amount subscribed.

The liquidity in the system on Thursday was ₹3.15 lakh crore, RBI data showed. With liquidity abundant, the central bank has been periodically draining money.

Friday's auction was the biggest of the recent auctions that the central bank has held; so far, it has conducted four such auctions.
