Nominal GDP to strengthen in Q3 and 04
CHIEF ECONOMIC ADVISOR Anantha Nageswaran on Friday attributed the strong economic growth of 8.2% in the second quarter to the cumulative impact of a decade-long push in physical and digital infrastructure, exporters’ ability to withstand tariff shocks, and a series of policy measures implemented since June 2024.
He said the direct and indirect tax relief, sustained public investment, deregulation at both Union and state levels, and renewed credit and incentive support for MSMEs have come to the aid of the economy.
