Runners complain after marshalling error hits Great West Run entrants

ORGANISERS behind Exeter's Great West Run have admitted some of the marshals may have become over-zealous in enforcing a cut-off time, leading to complaints from runners.
A number of participants took to social media to voice their frustration at the way they were treated.
Others spoke out on behalf of friends and family who took part in the half marathon road race through the streets of the city.
The event boasts of being Devon's biggest race and sees runners take part in a 10km, half marathon or community mile race.
The Great West Run celebrated its 40th anniversary this year and took place on Sunday, May 25. Beginning and ending at Exeter Arena, the event saw a number of roads closed as around 4,000 runners pounded the streets of the city.
