Suella will be gone in days, says Tory pollster as Hunt is latest to distance himself from bias row

SUELLA BRAVERMAN is likely to be fired within days, a leading Tory parliamentarian said today as Chancellor Jeremy Hunt became the most senior Cabinet minister to distance himself from the embattled Home Secretary.

Lord Hayward, a Tory pollster, said he expected Rishi Sunak would carefully consider the details of how an incendiary article by Ms Braverman was published before deciding her political fate.

Downing Street said it had not cleared the comment piece which accused the Metropolitan Police of "bias" in the way that it treated protests ahead of the planned pro-Gaza march in London tomorrow.
