SKIPPER PROMISES AGGRESSIVE’ APPROACH TO WARRENBALL TEST
ENGLAND are ready to square up to Wales's 'Warrenball' aggression with their new confrontational style at Twickenham tomorrow.
Captain Jamie George has vowed England will step up their new blitz defence for the Six Nations clash with Warren Gatland's men in west London.
Gatland's Wales teams always send pairs of runners hurtling across the gainline, creating maximum physical collisions, in a tactic long since named after the Kiwi head coach.
Gatland also insisted yesterday that he does not find Twickenham intimidating, amid England's players looking at ways to build stronger bonds with their supporters.
England skipper George anticipates the Red Rose players and fans creating a hostile atmosphere for Wales, though - and the Saracens hooker insisted Steve Borthwick's side will meet the visitors' bullish approach head-on.
"A lot of us in this team have worked with Warren Gatland before, so we know the type of coach he is," said George (right).
