Edinburgh Evening News
|December 23, 2025

Christmas is a moment to look beyond day-to-day pressures and think about the kind of future we want for our children and grandchildren. Here in Scotland we are already seeing its effects through more frequent flooding, extreme weather and growing pressure on food and energy costs.
These impacts hit hardest those who are least responsible, including young people who will live longest with the consequences of today’s decisions.
