Rescue bid for chain fails, meaning store will close

A DERBY store, which had been hoping to escape the axe after administrators were called in to rescue the company, will be closing after all this week.

The Bodycare brand is set to disappear from Britain's high streets, including a branch in Derby's Derbion, and also in Burton, after administrators announced the closure on Monday of its remaining 56 shops, resulting in around 450 redundancies, although it is not known how many are in Derby.
