JASON IS 'COMMUNITY HERO' FOR SECOND YEAR AS HE MAKES COMMEMORATIVE FLOWERS

- By ZENA HAWLEY

A LACK of poppies in part of Derby has prompted a local man to make the commemorative flowers for the second year running.

Jason Toon, who last year hand made cardboard poppies, has gone one further this year and crafted a series of wooden poppies for Littleover.

Mr Toon, who runs the Facebook page Everything Sherwood Foresters, wants to ensure that the importance of Remembrance events is not forgotten.
