Opening hours of revamped market hall to be cut following review of footfall and feedback

DERBY City Council has made changes to the way the new-look Market Hall will be run after assessing footfall and feedback from traders and shoppers.
Less than four months after it reopened its doors back in May, the Market Hall will be closed on Mondays and open for longer on Sundays, starting on September 22 and meaning an overall reduction of opening hours.
The council says the decision has been made after “carefully monitoring footfall and gathering feedback from both the public and market vendors”, with the changes themselves designed to “create a more vibrant and sustainable experience for everyone”.
