Jewellery firm's unused HQ is put on the market

THE intended headquarters of a Derbyshire jewellery business has unexpectedly been put up for sale just months after it was supposed to open to the public over the summer.

Waters View, situated overlooking Carsington Water, was the culmination of 15 years planning by the late founder of the business, Chris Sellors, who died in 2023.

The Derby Telegraph was invited to visit the building as it neared completion almost 12 months ago and was told that the plan was to move the jewellery design and manufacturing staff to the site in early to late summer 2025, together with the creation of jewellery boutique retail store, exhibition space and restaurant and cafe.

A number of events have taken place there including a soft launch last November when the company’s annual festive Christmas Wishes shopping event took place.
