SASSA'S payouts jammed

GRANT recipients were left high and dry this week when a payment glitch blocked access to their social grants.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) said it was aware of the glitch that left thousands of pensioners unable to withdraw their money on Thursday.
Around 15 000 beneficiaries were affected after a fault occurred between payment processor Pay-Inc and Capitec Bank.
The issue temporarily froze access to funds.
Sassa said the problem has been resolved and that all payments were now accessible.
