Zuma stands to lose assets and pension after losing R29m case
JACOB Zuma has been told to pay up or lose his hele als, after losing his R28.9 million case in the Gauteng High Court yesterday.
The former president could lose his immovable and/or movable properties - including his state pension attached - if he fails to pay back the huge bill racked up by private litigation during his tenure as head of state.
Gauteng High Court (in Pretoria) Judge Anthony Millar ordered Zuma to make this payment (R28 960 774.34) to the State Attorney as well as pay interest as calculated at the prescribed rate.
The interest is on R18.9m, running from 25 January 2024 to the date of payment.
