Family of slain Cape Town-born mother in US launches a BackaBuddy campaign to bring her body back to Mzansi

THE family of Kim White Thorne, the Cape Town woman who was allegedly murdered by her husband in the US, are looking to bring her body home.

Thorne, 32, died on 25 May, with the Weekend Argus reporting that her husband Alexander Towne simply told emergency services in a 911 at the time that he doesn’t think “she’s with us any longer”.

Inside their home in West Virginia, authorities found the lifeless body of his wife, Kim. She had been strangled, reportedly while their toddler son was in another room.

Kim, originally from Parklands, had visible upper body trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
