Five dead after bloody shootings in Cape

IT WAS a bloody weekend for the Cape after two people were shot and killed in Rocklands in a drive-by shooting and another three people were gunned down and another one injured in Muizenberg.

On Thursday evening around 9pm, two men aged 37 and 40 were shot and killed in Viscount Street, Rocklands, in a suspected gang-related incident.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said: “Mitchells Plain police responded to a complaint of a shooting in Viscount Street, Rocklands, on Thursday night, 14 August 2025, at about 9pm.

“Upon arrival on the scene, they found the bodies of two males, aged 37 and 40, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Shooting
