AS THE Premiership nears its conclusion, the Kaapse two top-flight teams, Cape Town City and Stellenbosch FC, are experiencing contrasting fortunes.

City face the grim prospect of the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs, set begin on 27 May, after a swak season marked by inconsistency as they find themselves second from bottom on the standings with 23 points from 26 games.

Their remaining fixtures, starting with Polokwane City at 3pm tomorrow, are unlikely to shift their standing significantly.
