Police hunting two suspects after murder of a three-month-old boy
BISHOP Lavis detectives are hard at work pursuing leads in a bid to apprehend those responsible for the death of a three-month-old boy and the attempted murder of an adult female in Yellowwood Street, Bonteheuwel, on Friday 22 August 2025.
At around 7.45am, two unidentified armed men entered the premises and proceeded to one of the living rooms. One of the men fired a gunshot, leaving the three-month-old baby with serious injuries.
The infant was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment but was later declared deceased by medical personnel.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi confirmed the suspects fled the scene and remain at large.
