ALPINE TRAIL (3.45) can rise to the challenge and stake his claim as a Derby contender in the AI Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes at York.

Charlie Appleby's colt, who has been supplemented for this race, impressed when scoring by three lengths in a listed event at Newmarket two weeks ago over the same mile and a quarter trip and looks sure to improve further.

The son of Dubawi takes on the returning The Lion In Winter, who is a warm favourite for the Epsom Classic.
