Pep transfer hopes hinge on Champs League spot

PEP GUARDIOLA has admitted Manchester City could struggle to land top transfer targets this summer if they miss out on Champions the League.

City are fifth, which will be enough to qualify courtesy of the Premier League's coefficient ranking with UEFA. And although spent City around £180m on four signings in January, they will look to strengthen again with Kevin De Bruyne leaving and others likely to exit too.

City have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz and Nottingham Forest's Morgan GibbsWhite, with Guardiola admitting the Champions League could be a major factor in who can sign.
