HE HAD his Sliding Doors moment but now Salford’s Tim Lafai hopes to blow the doors off on his way to a Super League Grand Final.
The Australian centre lines up for the Red Devils as they visit Huddersfield in today’s elimination play-off.
He was named in the Dream Team last week after a brilliant debut campaign for Paul Rowley’s (inset) free-flowing side.
But his stellar form is all the more remarkable given, when Lafai joined Salford in January, he had been out of the sport for more than a year.
The Samoa international, 31, failed to earn an NRL deal back home and thought his career was over.
