Rapid Piroe in record going up show

LEEDS boss Daniel Farke saluted Joel Piroe after his rapid four-goal haul fired Leeds back to the promised land in record time.

Piroe fired Leeds’ fastest league hat-trick with strikes in the sixth, eighth and 20th minutes and added his fourth just before half-time after Junior Firpo had put Farke’s side 4-0 up in 26 minutes.

Wilfried Gnonto headed Leeds’ sixth in the second half as they earned a fourth straight league win.

Burnley's victory over Sheffield United later confirmed Leeds’ return to the top flight after a two-year absence.

Farke said Piroe’s four goals, which took the striker’s league tally for the season to 19, was just reward for his recent performances.
