EDDIE HOWE claimed Barcelona's penalty just before halftime dealt Newcastle a fatal psychological blow.

They had twice roared back in the opening 45 minutes thanks to two goals from Anthony Elanga and looked ready to cause a major upset in the Nou Camp.

But after Lamine Yamal converted from the spot deep into added time, Barca emerged after the break to blow away the Toon with four unanswered goals and end their Champions League journey in the last 16.
