Cask ale sales suffer as Brits ‘don’t know what it is’

TRADITIONAL British ale risks dying out because pub-goers don’t know what it is and fail to spot it at bars.

A whopping nine in 10 drinkers who visited inns that serve the tipple couldn’t recall seeing it when quizzed afterwards.

And four in five Brits cannot identify cask ale from the signature hand-pulls used to pour the UK's classic beer style.
