Privacy plea after Coco pops

COCO GAUFF has called for more privacy for players after being caught on camera smashing her racket following a shock loss to Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals yesterday.

World No.3 Gauff (inset) suffered a bruising 6-1 6-2 defeat in just 59 minutes with Svitolina through to the last four at Melbourne Park for the first time at 31.

Gauff's disappointment was clear as she quickly walked off, and she admitted she tried to find a place without cameras to take her frustration out on her racket, smashing it repeatedly on the ground.
