SPECULATION is growing around a police probe into Peter Mandelson who enthusiastically backed ex-Prince Andrew being made trade envoy.

The disgraced peer has been desperately attempting to avoid the limelight at his home in Wiltshire.

But it has emerged he pushed for the former Duke of York to be trade envoy against the wishes of the then Prince Charles.
