Live Aid a bit of all white..

CRAZILY ambitious though it was, the legendary Live Aid charity concert of July 1985 had a perfectly clear objective.

The brainchild of Bob Geldof, inset, and featuring acts including Queen, David Bowie, Phil Collins and U2, it simply planned to raise as much as it could for the starving folk of Ethiopia.

To be fair, this new three-part documentary doesn’t call that mission into question. And it certainly doesn’t deny it was a brilliant gig.
