Spanish-speaking Woody helps get Carrick off to flyer

MICHAEL CARRICK has already built a team that can go toe to toe with the best at Manchester United.

But while the players are revelling in the plaudits after back-to-back victories over Manchester City and Arsenal, it's actually Carrick's backroom staff who have laid the groundwork.

And that includes United's former foe Jonathan Woodgate.

Fans of fierce rivals Leeds despaired at the sight of Woodgate celebrating against Arsenal, having 'done an Alan Smith' by switching allegiances to Man United.

And they may have to get used to seeing their old hero in the dugout as Carrick's backroom team have been crucial in those wins.
