LUKE HUMPHRIES wants to join the elite champions who win back-to-back world titles - but he's not prepared to play until he's 50 to do it.

'Cool Hand Luke' faces Welsh dark horse Nick Kenny in the third round at the PDC World Championship after spending his first Christmas at No.1, one fewer than Wham! in the charts.

Humphries has learned the hard way that wearing the crown makes extravagant demands on your time.

He said: "Nobody teaches you what is involved in being a world champion.

"Over the past year I've probably been away for more than 200 days of it, and that's hard.
