NEWCASTLE star Kieran Trippier has made a plea to Thomas Tuchel ahead of next summer's World Cup - insisting he would not turn down an England recall.

Having hung up his boots after Euro 2024, Trippier, 35, left the door ajar to the Three Lions and said he would be open to a return if his country needed him.

Trippier has now claimed he misses international football, and with Tuchel keen on an experienced head or two, the Toon defender would not shirk the chance to join club teammates Dan Burn and Anthony Gordon for the finals.
