Coles makes up for lost time

MANY rugby players finish the season just desperate for some sun and a chance to rest their weary bodies – but not Alex Coles.

The Northampton second row dealt with a succession of niggling injuries to start the 2024-25 campaign, seeming at one point as though he would not be able put a run of games together.

Finally, injury-free, he was able to do just that as Saints made it to the Champions Cup final, where he was their most impressive performer as they came up short against French giants Bordeaux-Begles.
