SUPER sub Gstaad whizzed down the Ascot straight to spreadeagle the field in the £175,000 Coventry Stakes.

Pre-race hype revolved around Albert Einstein, a juvenile hailed the “fastest ever” work horse at Aidan O'Brien’s stable of champions.

But the trainer was forced to reshuffle the pack when his exciting youngster sprained a joint - and in stepped Gstaad.

Named after a Swiss ski resort, the 7-2 favourite gained on the leaders at halfway under Ryan Moore and powered home to leave Do Or Do Not (80-1) trailing by three lengths, with Coppull (66-1) doing best on the stands side in third.
