Sub Pina is double trouble to Wiegman
CAPTAIN Leah Williamson admitted the Lionesses were taught a “great lesson” after missing out on the Nations League finals following defeat to Spain.
But boss Sarina Wiegman insisted she was not concerned by the loss just a month before Euro 2025 kicks off.
Alessia Russo had put England ahead on her 50th international appearance but substitute Claudia Pina scored twice to earn Spain a comeback win in Barcelona.
Williamson said: “In the second half they pressed a bit higher and we struggled. We couldn't keep the ball as well as we did in the first half.
