Zak Starkey is looking forward to the four film biopics Sam Mendes is directing about The Beatles, but reckons some movie magic will be needed when it comes to his dad's legendary hooter.

Asked what he thought of Barry being cast as Ringo, former Oasis and The Who drummer Zak told me: "He's gonna need a lot of prosthetics.

"He's going to need a f***ing great big nose. And a good haircut. He'll be all right. It'll be great."
