Gunners pack serious punch to warn rivals
THIS was a glorious statement of intent from Arsenal.
And all done to the tune of their favourite chant for two-goal Kai Havertz who piled on the misery for his old club.
Chelsea’s second-half collapse was nothing short of embarrassing and no wonder the away end was virtually empty well before the final whistle.
They had seen enough of yet another dismal display which will only pile the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino as Arsenal ran them ragged to go three points clear at the top.
Havertz was brilliant as his performance almost summed up his time at the Emirates and it is no wonder the home fans chant sarcastically: “£60m down the drain – Kai Havertz scores again.” Chelsea fans were queuing up last summer to delight in telling Arsenal how they had got it wrong in signing a player who never quite fulfilled his potential at Stamford Bridge.
But to his great credit, Mikel Arteta has got the best out of the Germany forward and has him playing like a world-beater.
