JOCKEYS, racing bosses and trainers descended on Westminster as the sport staged its first ever strike.

The historic protest yesterday came as four scheduled race meetings were scrapped ahead of the “Axe the Racing Tax” lobby event. They were Lingfield Park, Carlisle, Uttoxeter and Kempton Park.
