TAMER Hassan’s hardman image is all just an act.

He’s famous for playing violent thugs in big screen hits like The Football Factory and The Business.

People often think he must be like that in real life, but Tamer insists that's not the case.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: "I do have a bit of a past... I was a boxer and I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. But that doesn’t define me as a person.

"Some people think I’m going to be just like my characters. But when they get to know me, they say, ‘What a lovely big softie you are."
