REGGAE star Shaggy has confessed “It Wasn’t Me” who was behind his biggest hit - it was God.

He credited the catchy song to the Almighty - even though it includes the saucy lyric: “Saw me bangin’ on the sofa (It wasn’t me).”

The US-Jamaican star, 56, had the UK’s biggest seller in 2000 thanks to his “cheating” anthem.

But Mr Boombastic exclusively told the Daily Star Sunday: “People say I wrote It Wasn’t Me and my other hits, but I didn’t write any of them.
