LETHAL LEVI thundered home to strike a remarkable 1-2-3 for trainer Karl Burke in the £180,000 Ayr Gold Cup.

The 20-1 shot produced a power-packed finish to beat stablemates Silky Wilkie (66-1) and Korker (40-1) by three lengths.

It was a massive result for the North Yorkshire stable and a small stakes punter who placed a £2 bet on the tricast with Coral.

The shop customer from Reading scooped £78,988.80 after the trio in a 25-runner field finished ahead of fellow outsider Aramis Grey (28-1) in fourth.
