Celts warned as target breaks his silence

CELTIC have been warned they'll need to stump up serious cash to land Wilfried Nancy as their next boss.

The Frenchman is high on the Hoops' wish list on the back of Brendan Rodgers' bombshell exit, with the 48-year-old last night refusing to rule out a move.

But Record Sport understands the former defender will not come cheap.

MLS side Columbus Crew are aiming to bag a multi-million dollar compensation package if Celtic do land their successful head coach.

Nancy signed a new long-term contract with the Ohio outfit last year.

While the length of the deal has been kept strictly under wraps, sources Stateside suggest it is over several years, likely to at least 2027.
