Playmaker Russell ready to take on Pumas after shrugging off his knocks

FINN RUSSELL has given Scotland a major boost ahead of tomorrow's match against Argentina after being cleared of his injury worries.

The playmaker picked up a couple of knocks in last week's defeat by New Zealand but has been able to train this week.

And after including him in the team to play the Pumas, head coach Gregor Townsend said all was well with the man who makes the Scotland attack tick.

Townsend said: “Finn managed it himself at the beginning of the week in terms of contact and not doing as much kicking.

“But he’s trained in both our main training sessions. He kicked yesterday fully, so no worries there.”
