Saints ace O'Hara wants longer stay

MARK O'HARA insists fearless St Mirren are aiming to make lasting memories by doing something special in Europe.

The Saints skipper and his team-mates are pushing through pre-season work in Spain as they gear up for their continental bid.

Stephen Robinson's troops face either Valur or KF Vllaznia in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.

Saints will end a 37-year absence from Euro competition when they go to either Iceland or Albania, but O'Hara is clear there will be no fear upon return.

Instead, the captain is determined that the current group make some progress and write more than just one chapter in the adventure.

Asked about making memories forever, O'Hara said: "Definitely, that has to be the goal.
