Too much of a risk to change

MAKING it easier to drink alcohol during football matches would be a backwards step which football authorities' own research shows could increase the risk of disorder and add to alcohol harms.

This could also put further pressure on our police and NHS.

Despite the current ban in football stadiums, there are still numerous incidents of violence or disorder following games each year.
