Supreme Court rejects judge impeachment

THE leader of the US Supreme Court has rejected calls to impeach judges after president Donald Trump demanded one be removed for ruling against his deportation plans.
Justice John Roberts’ decision shows a clear split between the executive and judiciary branches of government. The rebuke demonstrated how controversy over recent flights of Venezuelan immigrants have spiralled into a clash between two of the country's most powerful men.
