SIR Rod Stewart has donated £4000 to a fundraiser in memory of a young Celtic fan who died after being struck by a car in Ayrshire.

Aiden McLuckie, 14, from Hurlford, was pronounced dead at the scene following the accident on the A76 near Bargower, between Kilmarnock and Mauchline on July 16.

Aiden's family thanked the public for their generosity after a memorial fundraiser raised more than £10,000 - including a £4000 donation from Sir Rod.

They also expressed their gratitude to those who came to help the the teenager.
