Ross revels in 'special moment' as spot-kick boosts bid for Wembley

ROSS STEWART admitted silencing Craven Cottage from the spot was a "moment I've missed" after the Scot fired Southampton into the FA Cup quarterfinals.

In the half-centenary year since they won the old competition in 1976, Stewart converted a stoppage-time spot-kick to move the Championship side within one match of Wembley.

In their yellow and blue away strip, which nodded to their great 1976 side by not featuring the players' names on the backs, the Saints outfought their topflight hosts.
