Sick taunts of thug who blew Red or Black fortune, He vowed to kill friend who helped him after jail

- BY RORY CASSIDY

A THUG who squandered £1million he won on Ant and Dec's game show Red or Black vowed to kill a Good Samaritan who tried to help him turn his life around.

Nathan Hageman also threatened to "chop up" the pooch in a series of terrifying messages.

The yob ended up in and out of jail after losing the fortune he won on the ITV show in 2011.

But his old friend Jason heard Hageman was in need after being released from prison and offered to help him.

Hageman had been jailed for stealing from a nurse while she was working in a hospital's intensive care unit.

The 46-year-old swiped her handbag from her locker and then used her car keys to steal the vehicle.

Jason offered to help him after he was released from jail over the crime and offered him a new life in Scotland.

He arranged Hageman's transport north, picked him up from Glasgow Central Station, gave him a job with his plastering firm and sorted Hageman with somewhere to stay.

But Hageman started failing to turn up for jobs Jason had arranged for him, leading to another fallout.

The situation then turned nasty as Hageman began sending messages to Jason telling him he would kill him and his dog.

In voice messages Hageman sent Jason, heard by the Daily Record, the thug said: "On my mother's soul, I'm gonna finish you, and you f***ing know I'm capable.

"You're only mouthy 'cause you're a grass and already run to the police.

"Well they won't stop me neither, 'cause they dunno what vehicle I'm in and they dunno when I'm coming.
