EAMONN BROPHY had to watch on helplessly last season with Ross County looking dead and buried in the Premiership play-offs.
But 19 minutes at the close of a two 90 minutes against Partick Thistle transformed the club's future and his own.
A year on the ex-Scotland, Kilmarnock and St Mirren striker knows the Staggies are potentially facing more sliding doors moments - and again playing for their futures.
Brophy said: "Last season I got an injury and wasn't able to be involved. I still came up to watch games as much as I could to support the boys but not being able to help the team was tough.
"I was just glad the boys did it for this club. I was here on loan but I'd good relationships with people so I wanted the club to stay up.
"It was difficult but I was so happy and relieved they were able to do that in the end."
