A VICTIM of a funeral care scandal removed her husband's “ashes” from her home - in case they are not his.

Jackie Barnes, 58, suffered terrible anguish after E Milne Independent Funeral Directors mixed up the ashes of her mum with a stranger's last year.

The Daily Record revealed last year how she unwittingly scattered ashes she believed to be her mother Margaret's alongside those of her dad Thomas, only to be told the truth later on.
