HOOD'S PLOT TO AVENGE COSTA PALS HIT

Source says Daniel members in crosshairs

NOTORIOUS mob boss Steven Lyons is plotting a revenge attack on the rival Daniel clan after two of his key lieutenants were gunned down in Spain earlier this year.

Lyons' brother Eddie Lyons jnr, 43, and best pal Ross Monaghan, 46, were executed at an Irish bar co-owned by Monaghan in Fuengirola on the Costa Del Sol in May.

Scots police have insisted their murders were not planned in Scotland or linked to a drugs war raging on home turf, but underworld sources say Steven Lyons, 44, is convinced his arch enemies are to blame and is desperate for a Daniel scalp.

They said: "Steven believes the murders in Spain were ordered by the Daniel crew and he won't be persuaded otherwise.

"Immediately after Eddie and Ross were killed, he vowed revenge and he has been brooding on it for a while.
